PSOT has done pioneering work in ethnoculturally specific, supportive group therapy for torture survivors. These groups have proven to be highly successful in ameliorating isolation and improving psychological health. Our groups are designed to focus on adaptation to new environments.
Regular appointments with program psychiatrists
are available for clients who need psychiatric and psychopharmacological support.
Clinicians at PSOT and Bellevue, specially trained to work with survivors of torture, provide regular individual psychotherapy sessions with clients.
