Yang-Yang Zhou is the Policy and Advocacy Coordinator and Executive/Research Assistant to the Program Director, Dr. Allen Keller. She is responsible for organizing and executing the anti-torture and detention health advocacy campaigns to support humane immigration and detention practices as well as speak out against torture. Additionally, she conducts research with Dr. Keller while managing his day-to-day engagements, classes, and projects. She also manages and updates the website and the program's social networking presence. She began at the program as a Case Management Coordinator in 2010.

Ms. Zhou is a recent summa cum laude graduate at NYU, majoring in International Relations Honors and Anthropology/Classics with a certificate from the Alexander Hamilton Center for Political Economy. In 2007, she founded CHILD(not)SOLDIER, a campus organization that advocates for child soldiers, with grant support from Youth Venture and MTV-University. Prior to PSOT, Ms. Zhou has worked at CARE International, USAID, and a Liberian refugee camp, interviewing former child soldiers. She intends to pursue a Ph.D. in International Affairs and continue to research issues of displacement and children in armed conflict.
