Meghan Nickerson, M.A.

Meghan Nickerson holds an MA in French Studies from New York University, as well as a BA in French and Theatre Arts from the University of Minnesota. Although she took a rather indirect route to human rights work, she has always had an interest in immigrants and asylum seekers, and has done much research on the effects of French colonialism in Africa. She began working with the Program for Survivors of Torture as a volunteer interpreter in 2004. Ms. Nickerson provides educational services to clients and manages the Program’s team of 60 volunteers who teach ESL, literacy and GED preparation.
